The government may introduce a universal allowance for poor families from January 1, as Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin announced. When the proposal is implemented, the allowance will combine a number of measures already taken, for example, payments for birth, as well as for children from 3 to 7 and from 8 to 17 years. Also, low-income women who are registered for pregnancy in the early stages can count on universal support.
Each region will have its own allowance amount, which will depend on the subsistence level of the child. The family will be able to claim payment of 50, 75 or 100% of the PM for children. The average amount of benefits will be approximately from 6,000 to 12,000 rubles.
